Puddy's Story

Puddy was a special cat who gave her parents much love & sweetness.  This was particularly amazing considering her difficult past.  Puddy loved to be wherever her parents were, especially if it meant being somehow attached to them.  She loved them equally and loved to crawl up on either of her parents' chests and curl up in a little ball and purr, purr, purr.
Puddy's Previous Life
Puddy came to live with her parents shortly after their marriage.  Puddy's previous owner --  her dad's grandmother -- had become too ill to properly take care of Puddy.  Prior to living with grandma, Puddy had been an abused kitty, so she was very shy when she first came to live with mommy and daddy.  They didn't see her for weeks when they first brought her home, but they could see that she would come out at night and drink and eat what was left for her.
Being Queen
After Puddy began to trust her parents, she began to assert herself.  Mom and dad soon found out that Puddy did have the amazingly loud vocal cords of her breed (Siamese), and you could hear her greetings echo down the hall in the apartment complex!  She didn't meow often, but when she did, it was loud!  In other ways, Puddy was not exactly what mom had imagined a typical cat  to be.  Puddy was so affectionate that she would try to physically smother her parents with love, often climbing onto and then falling asleep on one or the other's chest when they were relaxing on the couch, and soon getting into a routine of sleeping nestled right next to mommy's ear on the pillow.  Mom often fell asleep to loud, rhythmic purring in her ear!  She also got used to sleeping with her arm over her head, nestling Puddy to her ear, and still has this habit.
Other Memories
Puddy loved to play with string and eat grass.  Her parents would often get her a little bag of grass seed and grow it for her to nibble on.  She was also particularly fascinated with Christmas M&M's that accidentally fell on the floor one year (not to eat, thank goodness, because chocolate is bad for dogs and cats, just to play with).  She was also the only cat her parents had ever seen that loved to drink water from the bathroom sink!
